藤井朱明(1936年生)による朝日(朝日、Morning Sun)を題材とした、 striking iroe(上絵付け)の磁器花瓶。日本美術展(Nitten)の準会員で、これまでに同名の入選15件を数える。花瓶は上品な鶴首のシルエットで、細長い白い首が丸みを帯びた胴部へと淡い青のグラデーションに柔らかく移行し、深藍と黒で描かれた山の輪郭が現れる——季節の景色に細心の注意を払う藤井独特の落ち着いた雰囲気を持つ風景画である。

サイズ:高さ22.8 cm、幅11 cm、奥行11 cm
花瓶には二つの別個の付属品が付帯する。元箱の木箱(木箱、 tomobako)には蓋の内側に「陶芸日展会友 朱明」と作者の赤印が刻まれており、署名入りの木製名札(tatefuda)には「朝日一輪差(Asahi, single-flower vase)」と刻まれ、赤印が押されている。

【作家略歴】
1936年、佐賀県有田で生まれた藤井朱明は、15歳の頃から地元の上絵付け窯業・磁器メーカーで実務を始めた。1962年に初入選を果たし、これまでに十五回の入選を果たしている。1963年には染付技法を含む「西木器(?)」職人として独立、1974年には自らの窯「朱明窯(Shumei-gama)」を開く。日本陶芸展をはじめ多くの賞を受賞しており、日本陶芸展・九州・山口窯展で文部大臣賞、日本新工芸展で新工芸賞を受賞している。柿の木葉のモチーフを用いた窯変技法の作風で、有田の季節風景を表現することでも知られる。Nittenの準会員で、佐賀美術協会の会員でもある。
