中国風青釉釜仏 – 明代（14世紀～17世紀）官人
14世紀～17世紀の明代に遡る、中国宮廷官僚の青緑釉陶俑の精緻な像。像は長袍のクリーム色の衣を着た官僚が、鮮やかなエメラルドグリーンの上着を羽織り、背高の儀礼帽を被って政府官僚または宮廷付きの従事者として識別される。片手に巻物または儀式用の板を携え、学者階級と帝国管理に関連する属性を示している。豊かな銅緑の釉薬は、未釉のベージュ色の素焼きと見事に対比し、明代の葬送陶瓷に characteristic 的な華麗な多色表現を生み出している。こうした像は、死者の旅で付き添い、成仏を手助けする“冥界の物”として、皇室の権威と階層を反映させつつ、上流階級の墓所に置かれていた。今回の例は、鮮明な成形、魅力的な艶釉、そして優れた保存状態を示しており、明代葬送美術の装飾性と歴史的重要性の高い作品として評価される。
