Rare hand-thrown Japanese Kyo-ware matcha chawan by Ganya in the Kenzan style, from the Shōwa period, with raised-relief cherry blossoms and gilding, underglaze-blue water patterns, crackled glaze, and cherry blossoms painted inside; supplied with the artist’s hand-inscribed paulownia box (lid missing) and storage cloth, in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
