Topcon Unirex + UV Topcor 50mm F2

Serial Numbers:
Camera: 68009267
Lens: 68008592

Thank you very much for viewing this classic Japanese SLR camera set.

Introduced in Japan in 1969, the Topcon Unirex is a distinctive 35mm leaf-shutter SLR produced by Tokyo Kogaku. It features a selectable spot and average TTL metering system and represents one of the more technically interesting designs from Topcon's camera history.

The included UV Topcor 50mm F2 was developed as the standard lens for the Unirex. Its 50mm focal length provides a natural perspective for everyday photography, street scenes, portraits, and general use, while the F2 maximum aperture offers useful flexibility in lower-light situations.

Together, the Unirex body and its matching UV Topcor standard lens form an attractive combination for both practical vintage photography and collectors of classic Japanese cameras.

Thank you very much for taking the time to view this Topcon Unirex set.

The Unirex is an unusual Japanese SLR that combines a leaf shutter with an interchangeable-lens system and selectable spot or average metering. The matching UV Topcor 50mm F2 provides the classic standard-lens perspective and makes this a particularly fitting combination.

This example shows some normal age-related wear but remains clean overall. There is a small amount of debris in the viewfinder, while the lens has only slight thin haze that did not show a noticeable effect on photography and remains clear overall.

The main operating sequence has been checked, making this an interesting set both for vintage-camera users and collectors of classic Topcon equipment.
