Draisine and track no. 237 'Draisinenfahrzeug', tin toy by Einfalt / Technofix from Germany, dating to 1930–1940, without original packaging and in very good condition.
Description from the seller
Einfalt / Technofix - Draisine and track no. 237 "Draisinenfahrzeug" - Germany start 1930´s
Very rare track set featuring a draisine (handcar) made of beautiful, detailed lithographed tin by Einfalt.
Note the fine illustrations on the side of the car depicting passengers looking out the windows.
This specific vehicle is known as a draisine (often cataloged as *Draisinenfahrzeug* No. 237). Made by Gebrüder Einfalt, a company that later became world-famous under the Technofix brand.
The vehicle features a built-in clockwork mechanism. When wound up with a key and placed on the tracks, it moves along while the two lithographed figures (track workers) bob up and down, creating the illusion that they are manually pumping the draisine forward.
The draisine is in excellent working order. When wound up, it climbs the first "hill," rolls down to the end of the track, and—thanks to the elevation—returns to the starting end. It can complete a full circuit, though you must assist it in passing underneath the track section at the end before it can climb the first hill again.
Marked with: "Germany" and "D.R.G.M."
The draisine measures: 9cmL - 5cmH - 3cmW
See photo for the general condition of the toy. They are a main part of the description.
