Product Description*
This is a beautiful Japanese vintage cast-iron lantern featuring a traditional design.
It is believed to have been made in Japan during the mid-20th century (the Showa era).
With its rustic charm, it is highly popular as a unique interior accessory—evoking the aesthetic of *wabi-sabi*—that can serve as an incense holder, a tealight candle holder, or an ashtray.
When a candle or incense is lit inside, the light or smoke gently filters through the openings in the lid, creating a soothing and warm atmosphere.

There are signs of rust due to age (especially on the inside).
