Description from the seller

“Race for Riches” by Floyd Gottfredson

Hold on to your hats! In Race for Riches, Floyd Gottfredson sends Mickey Mouse and Horace Horsecollar straight into a Wild West ambush, where armed villains bring their journey to a sudden halt. Startled horses, tumbling hats and a sun-drenched desert setting create a lively mix of suspense and adventure.

Floyd Gottfredson (1905–1986) was an American Disney artist best known for his influential work on the Mickey Mouse newspaper comic strip. Joining Disney in 1929, he took over the strip in 1930 and continued drawing it for 45 years. His lively artwork and imaginative adventures helped shape Mickey’s character and introduced memorable figures such as the Phantom Blot. Gottfredson’s work inspired generations of comic artists, and he was posthumously named a Disney Legend in 2003.
