インク壺 - Iron (cast/wrought)

Victorian painted cast-iron figural inkwell depicting Daniel Lambert, seated with a roast bird, knife and fork, with a hinged head that lifts to reveal the original white glass liner, retaining much of its polychrome decoration with rubbing and minor oxidation, the glass liner is present, the hinge works, and the underside shows an old repair with overpainted filler and later grey paint.
