Elegant and rare antique silver toothpick holder of Portuguese origin, depicting the mythological figure of Neptune (or Poseidon). The figure stands crowned, holding his characteristic trident, positioned in front of a scallop shell designed to hold the toothpicks.

The piece is mounted on a hexagonal pedestal, resting on a square base richly decorated with leaf motifs and scroll-shaped feet.
