豪華に浮彫りと彫刻が施された銀製の珍しい一対の聖水盤です。装飾は神話的な海の生き物（トリトン）、花と植物を抽象化したモチーフをテーマにしています。18世紀のイタリア製で、特にマンタヴァ市製です。比較のため、物品にある鋳印の写真と、18世紀イタリアの鋳印を専門とする書籍『Poinçons d'Argent della Tardy』のページの写真を添付しました。

Rara coppia di acquasantiere realizzate in argento riccamente sbalzati e cesellati.
I decori sono a tema di creature marine mitologiche (tritoni), motivi floreali e vegetali stilizzati.

Per un confronto ho allegato le foto dei punzoni presenti sugli oggetti, e foto delle pagine del libro specializzato in punzoni d' argento ("Poincons d' Argent della Tardy) dedicato ai punzoni italiani del XVIII secolo.

Peso totale: 173 grammi

Una delle acquasantiere presenta tracce di stagno (vecchio restauro), mentre l' altra ha una piccola mancanza sul fondo. Nel complesso si trovano in buone condizioni considerando l' età degli oggetti.

Le acquasantiere sono vendute insieme al loro supporto vintage ricoperto in velluto, che li rendono facilmente appendibili o adatti da esporre in vetrina.

Rare pair of silver aquasantiere richly embossed and chased, Italian manufacture from Mantua, dating 1750–1800, with marine creature motifs (tritons) and stylised floral/vegetal designs; includes a vintage velvet-covered stand, total weight 173 g, with dimensions 180 mm × 98 mm and 170 mm × 97 mm, in good condition for age with minor marks and stains, one piece showing tin traces (old restoration) and the other a small bottom defect.
