L'Austin Healey 3000, introdotta nel 1959 e nota affettuosamente come "Big Healey", rappresenta una delle spider britanniche più affascinanti e performanti degli anni '60, celebre per i successi ottenuti nei rally internazionali. La serie Mk II, prodotta tra il 1961 e il 1963, ha introdotto importanti miglioramenti tecnici e stilistici. Questo esemplare del 1963 è stato restaurato professionalmente alcuni anni fa e da allora mantenuto in ottime condizioni generali. La vettura si presenta pronta all'uso e offre un'esperienza di guida coinvolgente.
CARROZZERIA/VERNICIATURA:
La carrozzeria e il telaio si presentano in condizioni solide e sono privi di qualsiasi segno di ruggine o precedenti danni da incidente. La vernice, pur essendo stata applicata diversi anni fa nell'ambito del restauro, si conserva lucida e brillante, mostrando soltanto lievi e fisiologici segni del tempo. Le cromature si mantengono lucide con lievi patine d'epoca e le guarnizioni in gomma sono in buone condizioni.
INTERNI:
L'abitacolo conserva i rivestimenti originali in pelle in buono stato d'insieme. Si rileva unicamente un leggero segno d'usura sulla spallina del sedile lato guida, consono all'età e all'originalità dei componenti. Le finiture in radica sono lucide e prive di difetti. Tutta la strumentazione di bordo è funzionante.
MECCANICA:
Il propulsore a 6 cilindri in linea da 3.0 litri e la parte meccanica si trovano in eccellente stato di funzionamento. I carburatori sono stati messi a punto di recente, permettendo un'accensione immediata. Il cambio manuale è stato recentemente revisionato, ripristinando il corretto innesto della quarta marcia e il funzionamento dell'Overdrive. L'impianto frenante funziona correttamente, non si rilevano perdite d'olio nel sottoscocca e gli pneumatici sono in condizioni pari al nuovo (seppur datati).
