漢代（紀元前206年–紀元後220年）
高さ: 10 cm | 幅: 15 cm
Private Collection, Hong Kong
魅力的で高度に装飀された中国・漢代の陶製チキン。丸みを帯びた胴体、突き出した首、小さくとがったくちばし、扇形の尾を美しく成形。翼と尾には彫刻の羽毛線が施され、生き生きとした自然な印象を与える。
表面には元の彩色装飾の痕跡が広く残っており、暖かな黄土色、灰色、白、赤みがかった顔料が、魅力的な自然の墓石の覆いの下でまだ視認できる。元の彩色表面の保存状態が、この像に強い考古学的性格と高い視覚的魅力を与えている。
像は全体的に excellent（卓越）な状態。漢代の陶製動物にはしばしば見られるように、元の陶製足は墳墓の中で失われている。現在の脚は後年の青銅製の置換品で、像を正しく支持・展示するよう作られている。
この種の陶製動物は mingqi（冥器、霊物）として作られ、死者を来世へ同行させるために墳墓に置かれた。ニワトリは家庭の繁栄、糧食、豊かさを象徴し、漢代の日常生活における家畜の重要性を反映している。

Founded in 1966 by Jan Simon Becker, Becker Antiques is one of the most respected and established dealers in Asian art in the Netherlands. Our gallery is housed in a stunning five-storey mansion built in 1891, located in Amsterdam’s prestigious Museum Quarter (Oud-Zuid), just minutes from the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and the renowned Royal Concert Hall, “Koninklijk Concertgebouw.”
For nearly 60 years, we have specialized in high-quality and fully authentic works of art from China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and other classical cultures. Our main areas of expertise include:
