Item Description :
This is an original oil painting on canvas titled "Berlin – Hauptstadt", created in 1992 by acclaimed Japanese painter Toshiro Arikata (有方敏郎, b. 1922). The work features a powerful silhouette of the Brandenburg Gate set against a vivid, expressionist sky rendered in dynamic streaks of red, orange, pink, and mint green. The stylized brushwork and intense colors evoke a dramatic emotional resonance, capturing both the cultural gravity and modern energy of post-reunification Berlin.
