1894年創業の Universal Genève は、スイスを代表する高級時計メーカーのひとつで、革新的なデザインと機械美で高く評価されています。歴史を通じて、マイクロトル機構をはじめとする数多くの好例・発明を輩出してきました。1928年には特許取得済みの世界初のリバーシブル式ケースを導入しています。
Microtor Cabriolet は、この卓越した遺産に敬意を表しています。2008年に登場したこの特徴的な時計は、ケースを180度回転させて裏蓋を露出させつつ、クリスタルを保護するというリバーシブルケースシステムを備えています。アールデコのインスピレーションと現代の技術、社内開発の Microtor ムーブメントを組み合わせた Cabriolet は、現代スイス時計製造における最も独創的な作品のひとつです。
