ヴァイキング時代のブロンズ製斧 pendant
紀元後9～11世紀
ミニチュアの戦斧の形を模した、広く曲線を描く刃とわずかに広がる切断部、そして筒状の吊環へと続く細い首を持つ、上品なヴァイキング時代のブロンズ製斧 pendant。刃には表面全体にわたって多数の隆起した円形の鈕（ボス）が配置され、刃の近くには水平の境界線が走る。首には横方向のリジッドが並び、上部の吊環には開き気味の縁がある。裏側はより簡素に飾られ、散在する打痕ドットと、曲線の刃に沿う軽く刻まれた境界線が見られる。
この pendant は発掘時の状態で、経年の表面摩耗、暗緑色〜茶色の錆色パティーナ、点状の付着物、細かな不整などを伴うが、独特の斧の形状と裝飾細部を保持している。
