Decorative Japanese ceramic gourd vase with a double-bulb form, 18 cm high and 11 cm wide, featuring a hand-modelled white rat on the lower gourd, rich speckled golden-yellow glaze, red silk cord with double tassels, an artist seal on the base, and a hand-signed wooden tomobako box inscribed with the kanji for Rat; origin Japan, estimated 1970–1980, in excellent condition and in working order.
