Beautiful lot comprising six refined Meissen porcelain coffee cups, decorated with the famous "Zwiebelmuster" (Blue Onion) pattern, one of the most iconic and sought-after designs of the historic manufactory founded in 1710 in Meissen, Saxony.
The cups are distinguished by their elegant, gently scalloped shape, enhanced by a delicate gilt rim that highlights both the purity of the white porcelain and the rich cobalt-blue decoration. The renowned floral and vegetal motif, painted underglaze, unfolds harmoniously across the surface, creating an ensemble of remarkable elegance and instantly recognizable charm.
Particularly notable are the gracefully shaped handles with gilt accents and the exceptional quality of the porcelain, characteristic of Meissen productions, celebrated worldwide for their refinement, luminosity, and centuries-old tradition.
The underside bears the famous blue crossed swords mark, the official emblem of the Meissen manufactory and a guarantee of authenticity.
Condition
The cups are in good to very good overall condition considering their age.
No cracks observed.
Blue decoration well preserved.
Gilding remains attractively visible.
One cup has a small rim chip, clearly shown in the photographs.
Minor signs of age and use consistent with antiquity.
A charming and highly collectible set, ideal for admirers of fine European porcelain, Meissen collectors, or as an elegant addition to a Blue Onion service.
