このシリーズは、自己をめぐる葛藤を抱え、自己不信と恐怖に翻弄される人物の寓話です。泳ぐことという充足感は手の届くほど近いにもかかわらず、登場人物にとっては何マイルも離れており、ただ到達不可能なものです。
現地で撮影。すべてカメラ内だけで完結。ポストプロセスでの追加要素は一切なし。

最近、スウェーデンのヴェストラ・ヨータララド政府公衆芸術部がシリーズのコレクターとなり（オフラインのギャラリー版）、
このシリーズはNYC、東京、ロンドン、パリを含む多くの都市で展示されました。英国のタイムズ紙、ガーディアンをはじめとする多数の publications に掲載されています。

作家について
エレナ・パラスケヴァの作品は、機関や企業のコレクションに所蔵されています。スウェーデン公衆芸術部（ヴェストラ・ヨータララド政府）、米国ボストン病院（子どもがんウィングの入口にある主要な500cmのインスタレーション）、オーストラリア国立大学、タラスサ博物館、Affinity（Serif）、その他の機関・企業コレクション。

作品は、ブリュッセルの欧州議会での展示のほか、フローレンス・ビエンナーレなどの主要ビエンナーレ、NYC・パリ・東京・ロンドン・ドバイ・サンパウロ（ブラジル）・ウィーン・バルセロナ・ミュンヘン・クアラルンプール・フランクフルト・マラガ・リンツ・グラーツ・シエナなどのギャラリーにおいて展示されています。

2026年には、写真界の伝説 Christopher Morris（TIME誌とともに30年、ホワイトハウス取材を9年）と Magnum の写真家 Alec Soth という二人の写真界の巨星により、受賞/展示が選定されました。

彼女は、4つの異なる国際写真協会によって International Photographer of the Year (2024/2023/2021/2018) に選ばれています。

ハッゼルブラッド・マスターズ、World Masters of Photography、LensCulture、Aesthetica、Prix de la Photographie Paris、International Photography Awards（IPA）など、国際的な栄誉と主要賞を受賞しています。

2021年以降、FLORIDA MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS の審査員を務め、Fotos・Fotografiska Museum のキュレーターや東京国立写真美術館の審査員とともに審査を行い、毎年複数の国際写真コンペティションの審査員を務めています。以前はAdobeの講師・アンバサダーも務めました。

彼女の写真は Smithsonian Magazine、The Guardian（英国・豪州）、The Times、Vogue.it、Aesthetica、LensCulture、PDN、Photography Masterclass など、数多くの国際的出版物に掲載されています。
