1984年6月、Hellhammer の灰燼の中から生まれた Celtic Frost は、Tom G. Warrior（別名 Thomas G. Fischer、ボーカル／ギター）と Martin Eric Ain（ベース）によって結成された。常に同じ道を長く踏み固めることはなく、バンドは proto-black metal（“Morbid Tales”）から徐々にクラシカルな影響を取り入れ（“To Mega Therion”）、やがてより アヴァンギャルドな傾向を打ち出す（“Into The Pandemonium”）ようになった。1988年、Warrior が新たなラインアップを率いた（ドラマーの Stephen Priestley は“Morbid Tales”に参加していた他に Warrior の前歴を持つ唯一のメンバー）「Cold Lake」へ。多くのファンから「グラムメタル」と批判され、バンドの信頼性は大きく失われた。その後、ギタリスト Oliver Amberg に責任転嫁され、アルバムの多くを彼が作曲したとされるが、Tom G. Warrior は関与していないと考えられていた。Martin Eric Ain は1990年の“Vanity/Nemesis”に復帰するが、同グループはその直後に解散した。」
Seller's Story
My name is Hans Kesteloo and I finally decided to sell my ‘remaining’ collection of 45’s, LP’s, CD’s, DVD’s, laserdiscs and other odd things after more than 60 years of ‘hardcore’ collecting. I purchased my first 45 in 1965, and this was the beginning of an enjoyable, long-time hobby – a real-time “collector’s career”. Now time has come to pass the baton !
