淡い青と白の長方形の徳利瓶で、1680年頃に遡る美品。

瓶は両側とも岩の上から芽吹く木槿が草地の岸辺に描かれており、角が落ちた肩部には回紋様の唐草装飾が施されています。

長方形の形状と伝統的な植物文様を持つ、初期の日本製青磁白磁の優雅な例です。

Japanese tangular Tokkuri Bottles – c. 1680

A fine blue and white rectangular tokkuri bottles, dating to circa 1680.

The bottles is beautifully decorated on each side with tree peony issuing from rockwork on grassy banks, while the chamfered shoulders are adorned with scrolling karakusa decoration.

An elegant example of early Japanese blue and white porcelain, with a distinctive rectangular form and traditional botanical theme.
