AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
DIAN GURBADA — NEW DAWN, 2026
Original Mixed Media and Acrylic Painting — 65 × 40 cm
Unique Original Artwork — 1/1
In New Dawn, Dian Gurbada brings luminous colour and expressive gesture together in a composition centred on renewal. Turquoise, yellow and pale green meet coral-orange passages and deep violet forms, creating a vivid interplay between openness, intensity and movement.
THE ARTWORK
Light appears to unfold across the upper canvas. Pale yellow, white and translucent-looking green passages create an atmospheric field, interrupted by stronger blue and turquoise accents.
A coral-orange diagonal carries the eye through the centre towards the lower right. Around it, burgundy and violet gestures introduce depth and visual weight. Their contours shift between broad, densely painted areas and slender extensions, giving the composition an energetic, varied rhythm.
The surface preserves the physical traces of the painting process. Layered colour, dragged paint, scraped passages and broken edges reveal relationships between successive gestures. Close observation offers a different experience from the overall composition, bringing small marks and underlying colours into focus.
The vertical format holds these movements within a concentrated field. Luminous passages open around darker forms, allowing the painting to suggest changing light or an imagined landscape while retaining its abstract character.
A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM THE ARTIST
The title, New Dawn, introduces the idea of a fresh beginning. On the reverse, Gurbada extends this intention through a handwritten message:
“Every day is a new beginning. May this piece remind you of endless possibilities.”
This inscription gives the work an intimate emotional dimension. Its contrasting colours and unfolding gestures become an invitation to consider renewal, opportunity and the energy of moving forward.
