An EA edition of Jean-Pierre Cassigneul's artwork refers to an Épreuve d'Artiste or Artist's Proof. These are limited-run lithographs or etchings printed outside the main numbered edition specifically for the artist's personal collection or use. Because they are rare and often serve as the standard for the rest of the print run, they are highly sought after by collectors. Authentic EA editions will always feature his hand-signed signature, usually in pencil, on the print itself.
