Description from the seller
Splendid and refined set of 8 glasses in fine mouth-blown crystal and hand-molded, made by the famous French manufacture Saint-Louis.
The lot belongs to the iconic "Manon" service, a model of great elegance documented in the official catalogue of the 1930s glassware.
The design is distinguished by the extraordinary and meticulous acid-etch decoration in perfect Empire / Neoclassical style. On the cup there is a refined composition characterised by festoons and garlands of laurel that descend from central medallions enriched by palmettes, all surmounted by a geometric Greek frieze on the upper edge.
Since it is a production prior to 1936, the pieces do not have the mark or the circular acid signature at the base (introduced by the manufacture only from that year), but the model is perfectly identifiable and referenced in the historical archival catalogues of Saint-Louis.
An unmissable opportunity to enrich a classy table with pieces of history of high manufactory from across the Alps or to complete a period service.
