今週は、皆さまに素晴らしい鉱物をご紹介します。
メソライトはゼオライトグループに属する鉱物で、一般に白色から無色の繊維状塊として産出します。一方、トムソナイトも同じグループの鉱物で、通常はピンク色からピーチ色の集合体として産出します。トムソナイト上にメソライトが生じると、繊細な白い繊維状の被膜を形成し、ピーチ色の背景との美しいコントラストが生まれます。このタイプの標本は、プネーやムンバイなどインド各地で産出することが知られており、独特の見た目から鉱物コレクターに大変人気があります。

非常に美しい標本で、実物は写真以上に魅力的です。
一般的なものではなく、美しく高価な標本や結晶を厳選してご紹介しています。状態は写真のとおりです。
色を写真で再現するのは非常に難しいです。写真に写った標本の色合いは、肉眼で見たときと多少異なる場合があります。全体として、実物の色のほうが少し美しいと個人的には思います。
