GENERAL:
1988年式の素晴らしく珍しく保存状態の良い Jaguar XJS Convertible が登場します。 legendaryの5.3リットルV12エンジンを搭載。特にこのモデルは、ジャガーにとって歴史的な画期であり、1988年がJaguarがファクトリー生産のオープンカーを初めてシリーズ生産した年です。これにより、以前は Hess & Eisenhardt という有名なカロッジェリアに依頼して外装を開閉していた特別な改造を経由せずに済むようになりました。HE（High Efficiency）シリーズのV12ブロックは Michael May の Fireball ヘッド設計を採用しており、1970年代の版本と比べて燃費と熱効率を大幅に向上させています。この個体は、公式カラーコード CEH の深いガーネットレッドのボディカラーが印象的です。車両は年式相応の保存状態が極めて良好で、サイレントブロックとゴム部品は完璧な弾力性を保ち、干渉や乾燥は皆無で、長年にわたる保管と管理が見て取れます。

このクラシックのボディは重厚かつクラシカルなスタイルを示し、北米市場向けの高耐久性クロム製フロント・リアバンパーを装備しています（USA 衝突防止モデル）。フロントグリルのクロム、電動調整式クロムドアミラー、同仕上げのドアハンドル、クロム仕上げのダブルエキゾーストパイプといった、様々な光沢部品が全体を引き立てています。元のアルミニウム合金ホイールにはキズがなく、通常サイズのスペアホイールにもアルミリムが装着されています。前照灯の点灯系ではフォグランプが組み込まれ、ワイパーには間欠機能が備わっています。外観の美観上の欠陥としては、ボンネット面にごく小さなへこみが一つだけ認められます。一方、外部ファブリックのルーフには四センチの小さな切れ目があり、修理済みではあるものの、布地上に視覚的な痕跡が残っています。

INTERIOR:
室内は、英国のラグジュアリー・クラフトマンシップの真髄と、当時ならではの細部のカスタムが融合した真の逸品です。アイボリーホワイトの上質なレザー interior が、前席とドアパネルを優雅に包みます。前席にはシートヒーターが内蔵され、オープンエアでのドライビングに適しています。中央部には実用的な収納スペースを隠すアームレストが配置されています。ダッシュボードの中央には、E. Nardi によるイタリア製の高級な可倒式 ハンドルが特徴的で、アルミとマホガニー材で作られ、ダッシュの装飾パネルとともに、ツガ材の根材で作られた美しい木目の仕上げです。室内には純正の室内照明とサンバイザーの照明付きミラーモードの補助鏡が備わっています。電動ミラーも標準装備です。
