In my experience the watch crown was indeed a little stiff to wind up, but not very hard or impossible. However, maybe I should have discrebed this better. My sincere apologies for that! I want my customers to be 100 percent satisfied, so please contact me to solve this problem. If you want, you can always sent the watch back. 
If you are a Junghans collector, I've got two other Junghans (quartz) watches which are unfortunately not running. I don't use them and maybe it's easy to repair them. If you want, I will sent you the watches for free as a compensation. Once again, I apologize for any ambiguities.
