This heavy rectangular vase in solid blown glass with rounded corners is made with the typical Strombergshyttan silver-blue glass. Sweden, 1950s
The inscription "Stromberg B852" is engraved on the bottom.
The Lindfors glasswork, established in 1876, changed its name in Strombergshyttan in 1933, when Edward Stromberg, former Orrefors chief, took over the company. He and his son Eric created a process for creating a silver-blue glass, which became a dominant feature of Strombergshyttan glass items.
Gerda and Asta Stromberg designed many pieces, along with Rune Strand and Gunnar Nylund.
