An imposing and beautifully executed sculpture depicting a muscular male figure with a snake around his outstretched arm. The sculpture is titled “Fascinator” on the front of the pedestal Marioton. It is made by the well-known French artist Eugène Marioton (1857-1933).
Eugène Marioton (1857 – 1933) was a French sculptor and medallist. He was a brother of Claudius Marioton and Jean Alfred Marioton (both also artists) and a pupil of Auguste Dumont, Gabriel-Jules Thomas and Jean-Marie Bonnassieux.
