In 1914, as a result of a competition for the creation of a glass, the Anjou wine glass was born. This is a simple and noble looking glass, quite high mounted, whose straight stem carries a flat and wide bottomed cup, from which the walls rise by sloping slightly inwards, so as to narrow the opening somewhat.
