The front of the handle is decorated with a coloured reproduction of an original work by the artist Rick Fields, set in a 24-carat gold-plated frame. The back shows an engraved rainbow trout in relief, 24 K gold plated. At the back of the knife, the medallion of the Franklin Mint collectors knife is embedded in coinage.
