Rare French Electro-Kicker 120 R Jukebox
Made in Baume-les-Dames.
The French-Swiss company Electro-Kicker, first known as SEVAC, was founded in 1956 by Lucien Gosteli. Jukeboxes were produced under the name "Jupiter" or "Jupimatic". These models were distributed in Germany by the company Bergmann, Hamburg, in 1960-1974.
September 1974: Atari (founded in 1972 by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney) France purchased a 50% share in Socodimex, French distributor for Seeburg jukebox.
This investment has allowed Socodimex to relaunch the Electro-Kicker, abandoned in June 1974, once again. Socodimex has replaced Ataris french distributor "Atari France" Sovoda SA and is now called 'Atari Europe'. Production remained in Baumes-les-Dames. Distribution in Germany, around Frankfurt.
1976: The jukebox division was taken over by Europe Electronique SA. The "Atari" logo remained on the first models and the production in Baumes-les-Dames.
For restoration, complete but unused for over 30 years.
The photos are contractual. To pick up in Paris.
