Siphon made of yellow uranium glass, pyramidal shape, very rare, probably from 1938 nr 1602
As good as new
Made in France in the early 1900’s, this very thick uranium glass siphon was used to contain pressurized “seltz” water. Carbon gas was added to pure water. (The current production of “Sodastream” is the result of such a process)
This water was also used to prepare all sorts of cocktails. Seltzer water had many therapeutic properties and notably diuretic qualities
Marked on the glass H. NERAUD MONTPELLIER
Cap in pewter without lead, marked H. NERAUD MONTPELLIER ET D. GONZALEZ COGNAC ETAIN SANS PLOMB 1938
