This 1988 (first year of production), 1932 Replica Zippo Lighter is one of the most collectible models of the past 30 years. George G. Blaisdell started Zippo in 1932, but the first lighters were sold in 1933 and that is one of the reasons the 1932 Replicas are very desirable among Zippo collectors as they rectified stopped producing the 1932 replicas. The 1988 examples have sides that are High Polish Chrome. From 1989 through 1992 (the final year of production), the sides are Brushed Chrome. The lighter is in good condition condition, but it has been fired occasionally.
