Walt Disney Studios - Original Sketch - Mickey Mouse
Original pencil sketch (1940s/50s) by one of the earlier Disney Staff artists. Professionally framed using archive sheets as protective materials.
Artwork dimensions: 8 1/2” x 11”; overall size with frame: 15 1/2” x 18 1/2”.
Mint condition . "FF" initials in lower right corner
It has been attributed to Frank Follmer by the former owner, although this seems unlikely. Frank Follmer worked at the Walt Disney Studios from 1937 to 1940, mostly as an effects animator, and not as a cartoonist or a character illustrator.
It comes with a copy letter by the Disney archives and a copy of a signed note to "Frank" from Disney artists Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, two of Walt Disney's "nine old men”.
