Charles Théodore Perron (1862/1934)
Active in Paris, exhibitions at Salon of French artists in 1895. He received an honourable mention in 1896 and then received a third class medal in 1897, a second class medal in 1899 and an honourable mention in 1900 at the World's Fair. He received first class medal at the exhibition in 1910 and participated in 1912 at the Royal Scottish Academy Fair.
The sculpture has a wooden base. Besides the plate with title and artist’s name, it bears a ‘made in France’ label on the stone with the figure on top, as an additional guarantee of authenticity

Recently, the sculpture underwent some preservative work which gave new light to its original colours and to the artwork itself.
