Trap balustrade startbal - Gesneden kristal en verguld brons
Coming from a beautiful French bourgeois residence in Burgundy, a very old 19th century ball cap for newel post of staircase banister. Made of blown and cut crystal with 8 flat sides (most certainly from a very famous crystal factory), set in a gilt bronze base. A threaded hole is provided to fasten it to the banister at the beginning of the staircase. Given its age, in relatively good condition despite the presence of a few micro chips, tiny scratches around the ball and a chip of no real importance at the base of the thick gilt bronze. Ideal and highly sought after as a restoration item for an old house and to highlight a beautiful staircase. Very careful shipping with tracking.
