Steiff Baby Alfonzo Mohair Red Teddy Bear EAN 653773Baby Alfonzo is number 01475 of a limited edition of 5000 bears produced exclusively for Teddy Bears of Witney in 1995. He is based on the original Alfonzo, a 13" red bear, made in 1908 which was bought by the Grand Duke of Russia for his daughter, Princess Xenia Geogievna. This bear is made in a slightly smaller size of 9.5" (24cm), in a red mohair - traditionally stuffed with wood shavings.This bear is in very good condition and appears to have not been removed from its box. His white label is still attached to his ear with his Steiff button and the certificate is also in good condition . The box does have some scuffs and marks around the edges and I would say it is fair to good condition, rather than good.
