Cappellini - Lounge stoel (1) - Tube Chair by Joe Colombo 1969
Tube Chair was created by industrial design genius Joe Colombo in 1969 for Cappellini. It is a modular chair with 4 hollow cylinders pieces of various sizes in polypropylene with polyurethane foam padding which can be repositioned in order to create many different chairs.
It can easily be transformed to suit your needs or to move from one place to another.
The chair made Italian design history and was added to the permanent collections of the Triennale in Milan, MOMA, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Completely deconstructed, iconic design
The backrest and the seat are the same shape, and the elements can all be swapped according to your needs. The tubes attach to one another using metal fixing hooks, and the upholstery is group C orange two-way stretch fabric.
The chair is in very good condition, with very minor signs of wear on the surface due to its use in a furniture display.
