Automascotte, olifant voor het Bugatti Royal
This mascot by Franklin Mint in 1987 faithfully reproduces the radiator cap that was created in 1928 for the Bugatti Royale, the most beautiful car and the most expensive in the world for its time. Its creators, Ettore and Jean Bugatti took the idea as a tribute to Rembrandt who died a few years earlier, and chose the model of the elephant of 1904 and had it made by Valsuani.
This heavy gold metal sculpture sits on a wooden base.
Total height: 25cm, weight: 0.765 kg
