* Richard Good was a former curator of clocks, watches and scientific instruments at the department of Medieval and Later Antiquities at the British Museum. He wrote 'Keeping Time, Collecting and Caring for Clocks' and 'Victorian Clocks'. As well as an academic approach to horology, Richard Good was a gifted clockmaker. He was awarded a silver medal from the British Horological Institute, and perhaps his best known achievement was the triple axis tourbillon carriage clock with constant force escapement he made with his son Timothy in 1979 for the Time Museum in the U.S. (Source: Bonhams)
