Sericho meteoriet Pallasiet - Hoogte: 19 cm - Breedte: 14 cm - 375 g

Sericho Pallasite slice with high quality olivines! Perfectly treated with natural resin to prevent rust. A fantastic specimen to add to your collection. Do not miss this opportunity! NO RESERVE PRICE !! This pallasite was initially named Habaswein, a neighbouring city where the fragments have been found. Eventually, the meteorite was officially named Sericho, the area of Kenia where the impact took place. Pallasites are very scarce meteorites in which olivines are mixed in a metal matrix. They come from the mantle of great asteroids and they represent just 1.7% of the meteorites known. Two brothers were looking for their camels near the village of Habaswein in Kenia when they found several large stones with no relation to the surroundings. Upon checking their heavy weight and their iron content, the brothers concluded that these should be meteorites. Analysis proved them right! PLEASE NOTE: sorry, no shipping to Asia, Africa, South America, Russia, Turkey and Switserland
