This beautiful lidded box of porcelain and brass was made by master ceramist Wong Lee. Wong Lee has been making beautiful objects in Art Nouveau style since the start of his company in 1995, and well-known for it. Wong Lee first produced under the brand WL 1895 and from about 2005 under the brand JBT anno 1906. The dating of this box is Therefore the end of the 20th century, early 21st century. WL stands for Wong Lee and 1895 is a reference to end of the 100-year-old war between China and Japan. The brass cherub angel is beautifully worked in Art Nouveau style and the box is very heavy!
