Nederland - Medaille - Mobilisatie Oorlogskruis medal - May 1940 - mobilisatie - Grebbeberg - great patina

Very nice and honest ''Mobilisatie-Oorlogskruis or MOK medal as awarded to some Dutch soldiers for their duties in 1939/1940! The medal has a great patina and is a nice old period example, not a modern restrike. A great medal, 100% original. The medal has a cloth backing marked with the mounter ''F.A. Tack'' and is good condition and is beautifully age-toned. A nice medal. See also our other interesting WW2 items, including Dutch May 1940, that we have on offer on catawiki! C. Dutch nationals or Dutch nationals not falling under A or B, who performed military activities in the interest of the Kingdom during the war. For categories A and B, people had to have been active for at least 6 months within specified periods. The cross could be requested from the "Commission concerning the Mobilization-War Cross" in The Hague, which was installed in February 1949 by Minister of War and Navy Wim Schokking. Chairman was Major General K.E. Oudendijk.
