Wulfenite crystals from Red Cloud can arguably be considered the BEST in the world for the species. Crystals from this local tend to be translucent and light red to orange in color, but once in a while (like in this example), you get these absolutely magnificent vibrant red, transparent, glassy and gemmy tabular crystals that are just on a different level to all others from anywhereelse. In this case, the main crystal is decently big, 0.9cm in size with razor-sharp edges, and an interestingly modified flat dipyramidal habit giving the crystal a b shape and a series of odd striated patterns on the main crystal face easily seen when rotating the piece around and a stile that is very much like a thicker version and smaller vession of a tiger wulfenite displaying a very similar coloration of intense orangy red. The piece is built as a black (gossan) and white (calcite) sea stack, with the previously mentioned main crystal set tastefully a top it acompanied at the bottom right by a secondary, also transparent, smokyer crystal that unfortunately nature didn't fancy putting next to its brother at the top.
