This is a nice and rare US 1943/1944 dated Recognition Manual, Naval Vessels, was standard issue to advanced US militar personnel who could be confronted with naval vessels and require identification skills to perform their responsibilities. This included ships crew of the US Navy. This rare manual provides identification standards and references to the observer so that they can distinguish between friend and foe and understand the threat potential of an identified enemy vessel. It contains BEAUTIFUL plates and mindblowing technical details of FAMOUS BATTLESHIPS such as the Tirpitz, Scharnhorst and many Japanese, Italian, US and UK ships, aircraft carriers, merchant ships and so forth. It even has the original outer protective sleeve, keeping the book in very good condition!
It contains silhouettes, photographs, and details of all of the major ships of the time.
Fantastic manual for your Navy or Kriegsmarine, you will not find this one again easily!
