Located on the ‘Le Vallin’ plateau, Domaine Jamet has proudly vinifies traditional style Northern Rhone Syrah at the namesake estate; currently headed by Jean-Paul and his wife Corinne, the duo is working on their 41st vintage, using whole-cluster fermentations, stainless steel vinifications, and elevage in large oak casks for 22 months. The 2013 is stony and spicy, with dark fruit flavors and notes of earth. Smooth, textured, and delicious-- and what’s better than a magnum of Northern Rhone Syrah from a stellar producer?
