Ettore Sottsass worked with Knoll on 3 collections between 1983 and 1989. And he wanted to be everything that modernism was not. Sottsass became known for his asymmetrical forms and, perhaps most of all, his flamboyant use of color, often in bold, clashing combinations. The Mandarin Chair was part of the "Spider and Mandarin collection" designed in 1986 and was a favorite for interiors, restaurants and librairies. I sell this beautiful arm chair Mandarin by Knoll. -- Unused. - Leather is completely scratch free and in perfect condition. - At the bottom of the chair the fabric has come a little loose at the level of the connection to one leg, but is easily repairable.
