Entertainment headphones from American Airlines
Luxury model provided only to 1st class passengers.
Dating from the 1970s.
Entertainment in airliners used to consist only of a film shown on one or more screens. The sound of the film was conducted to the seats via air tubes (not electronically) and could be listened to through a kind of plastic stethoscope (without any electronics, of course).
However, 1st class passengers on American Airlines had 'luxury' headphones (also without any electronics) at their disposal, which offered more comfort.
Condition is excellent.
