With its fluted bezel, the ref. 16220 represented the top of the line of the all steel Datejusts. This Rolex Datejust 16220 in stainless steel combines the best features of the 1945 original with its original dial, to which we added a peculiar blue degradee aftermarket dial with zircons. A bit of its story: Rolex’s ref. 162XX series of Datejust watches first emerged in 1988, a replacement for the relatively short-lived ref. 160XX range.
