Visigotisch Brons en glas Belt buckle

A fine visigothic big belt buckle made of bronze and glass. Rectangular plate divided by cloisons (wire strips) into small cavities set with glass of diferent colours. The belt buckle was a field for elaborate decoration and a very visible symbol of rank and status. Old inventory number on the back. |Early Medieval Spain - Visigothic 500 - 560 AD.
